Antalya Transfers for Shopping Trips
Antalya is a good place to shop – from the bazaar streets of Kaleiçi to large modern malls in Lara and the city centre. A private car makes shopping trips from your resort easy: you are dropped at the door and collected when you are done, with room for your bags.
Where to shop
- Kaleiçi and the old bazaar – textiles, ceramics, spices, leather and souvenirs in the old town’s lanes.
- City-centre malls – international brands and Turkish fashion chains, about 14 km from the airport.
- Lara’s malls – large shopping centres close to the Lara hotels.
- Local markets – weekly markets in towns such as Manavgat and Kemer.
Getting there
From Lara and the city, the malls and Kaleiçi are 10–30 minutes away. From Belek, about 35–50 minutes; from Kemer or Side, around an hour. Journeys from your hotel are priced by distance and shown on the booking form. Book the outward leg and choose “Return” for the collection time.
Arriving with shopping
The Mercedes Vito has room for 6 large suitcases – plenty for shopping bags. If you are flying home with extra luggage, mention it when you book the airport transfer.
A shopping day plan
Start with the malls in the morning, when they are quieter and cooler, then have lunch and spend the late afternoon in Kaleiçi’s lanes as the heat drops. Finish with dinner by the old harbour and book your return for the evening.
Tips
- In Kaleiçi, the lanes are largely pedestrian; the driver drops you at the edge.
- Bazaar prices are often negotiable; mall prices are fixed.
- Keep receipts for larger purchases.
