Turkish carpets, ceramics, copper, textiles and spices are among the most popular souvenirs from Antalya. Many organised tours include shopping stops at carpet showrooms – often ones that pay commission to the tour. With a private car, you choose where to go.

Our drivers take you where you ask to go. We do not include shopping stops you did not book, and you are free to visit as many or as few shops as you like.
Where to shop
- Kaleiçi – carpet and kilim shops, ceramics and jewellery in the old town’s lanes.
- The old bazaar area – spices, textiles and everyday goods.
- Weekly markets – in towns such as Manavgat and Kemer, for local produce and textiles.
Buying a carpet wisely
- Take your time; a reputable dealer will not pressure you.
- Ask whether the carpet is hand-knotted or machine-made, and about the materials.
- Compare prices in more than one shop.
- Ask for a written receipt describing the carpet.
- If the shop ships abroad, get the shipping terms in writing.
Other souvenirs
Besides carpets, popular souvenirs include hand-painted ceramics, copper coffee pots, Turkish delight and spices, olive-oil soaps and cotton towels. Many are available in Kaleiçi and at weekly markets at fair prices.
Getting there
Journeys from your hotel are priced by distance and shown on the booking form. Book the outward leg and choose “Return” for the time you want to be collected. Kaleiçi’s lanes are largely pedestrian; you are dropped at the edge.
Taking it home
A rolled carpet or a box of ceramics fits easily in the Vito. If you are taking large items to the airport, mention them when you book your departure transfer.
