Antalya Airport Transfers for Cultural Festivals and Events
Antalya’s cultural calendar goes far beyond the beach. Two events in particular draw visitors from across Türkiye and abroad: the opera and ballet festival in the ancient theatre of Aspendos, and the Golden Orange (Altın Portakal) film festival, one of the country’s oldest. Concerts, exhibitions and local festivals fill the rest of the year.
Aspendos: opera in a Roman theatre
Performances at Aspendos take place in the evening, in a theatre about 10 km from Belek and roughly half an hour to forty minutes from Antalya. They end late, and the site is in the countryside – book your return transfer for the expected end time so a car is waiting.
The Golden Orange film festival
Antalya’s film festival is usually held in the autumn, with screenings and events in the city centre. If you are staying in Lara, Belek or Kemer, a pre-booked transfer into the city and back saves you looking for parking or taxis at busy times.
Other events through the year
Beyond the big festivals, Antalya’s calendar includes concerts at the old harbour and in city parks in summer, exhibitions in the museum and cultural centre, and local festivals in the resort towns.
