Check-in and check-out

Rooms are usually ready in the early afternoon; check-out is around midday. After a morning arrival, the hotel will store your bags. On departure day, ask about late check-out.

Boutique hotels in Bodrum town

Some boutique hotels near the castle and the marina are on narrow or pedestrian streets. The driver stops as close as vehicle access allows.

North or south coast?

Hotels on the north coast – Torba, Türkbükü, Gündoğan, Yalıkavak – are reached by a different branch of the road from those on the south coast – Bodrum town, Gümbet, Bitez, Turgutreis. Always choose your hotel from the suggestions so the driver takes the right route.

From Milas-Bodrum Airport, you can take the airport bus, a shared transfer or a private shuttle. Because the airport is inland and the resorts are spread around the peninsula, the differences in time are significant.

The airport bus

Airport buses run to Bodrum’s bus station. They are economical, but you will usually need a taxi or dolmuş from there to your resort – with all your luggage.

Shared transfers

Shared shuttles and package coaches combine passengers from several flights and stop at hotels around the peninsula. If yours is in Yalıkavak or Turgutreis, the trip can take much longer than the hour’s drive.

A Yalıkavak example

From the airport to a villa in Yalıkavak: the bus to Bodrum’s bus station, then a dolmuş or taxi across the peninsula, can take two hours with luggage. A private shuttle takes about an hour, door to door.
