About Manchester Airport

Manchester Airport is the busiest airport in the north of England, with the widest choice of long-haul flights outside London. It sits about 15 km south of the city centre, next to the M56, which makes it the natural airport for Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire, West Yorkshire and the Lake District.

The airport has its own railway station and a Metrolink tram stop, which suit light travellers heading for the centre. A private car is the better choice with luggage or children, for groups, for late-night arrivals and for any address away from a station: Cheshire villages, the Peak District or a hotel in the Lakes.

Manchester has three terminals. Terminals 1 and 3 sit next to each other and Terminal 2 is a short walk away along the covered Skylink; we read your terminal from the flight number, so the driver is in the right arrivals hall. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of your terminal with a name sign; the first 60 minutes after landing are free and parking is included.
