Kaş Airport Transfer: From Antalya or Dalaman Airport to Kaş
Kaş is one of the most beautiful towns on the Turkish coast – a small harbour of whitewashed houses, Lycian rock tombs and clear water, with the Greek island of Kastellorizo just across the bay. Its isolation is part of its charm, and also the reason the airport transfer needs planning: the nearest large airports, Antalya and Dalaman, are both a long drive away.
Antalya or Dalaman?
- Antalya Airport (AYT) – about 200 km, around three hours along the coast road via Kemer, Kumluca and Demre. Many more flights.
- Dalaman Airport (DLM) – about 149 km, around two hours twenty minutes via Fethiye and Kalkan. Fewer flights, mostly seasonal.
Choose by your flight options; we drive from both.
Price
From Antalya Airport, the fixed fare to Kaş is €120 per vehicle for up to 6 passengers and 6 large suitcases. The same fare applies to Kalkan. It includes airport fees and 60 minutes of free waiting after landing. From Dalaman Airport the journey is priced by distance; the fixed price appears in the booking form before you pay. Booking the return together with the arrival gives you a discount on the return leg.
The drive from Antalya
The route follows the D400 west through Kemer, then climbs over the mountains to Kumluca, Finike and Demre before running along the cliffs to Kaş. It is one of the most scenic roads in Türkiye, but also winding. On a three-hour transfer, a short break is normal – agree it with your driver at the start.
Meeting your driver
We follow your flight. After passport control and baggage reclaim, your driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name on a sign. Child seats are free on request.
Going back
For an international flight from Antalya, leave Kaş about five hours before departure – three hours on the road and time for check-in and security. From Dalaman, about four hours before departure is usually enough.
Booking
Search from your arrival airport to your Kaş hotel or address on the booking form.
How to book, step by step
Villas, apartments and door-to-door pickups
Accommodation in Kaş is varied: small hotels and family-run pensions in the old town, boutique hotels on the hillside, and villas on the Çukurbağ peninsula and the coast towards Kalkan. A door-to-door transfer takes you from the arrivals hall to your accommodation, as close to the door as Kaş’s streets allow.
Areas and fare
From Antalya Airport, the fixed fare is €120 per vehicle to:
- Kaş town and the old harbour,
- the Çukurbağ peninsula with its hotels and villas,
- villas and hotels along the coast,
- Kalkan, about 27 km west of Kaş.
From Dalaman Airport, the price is calculated by distance and shown on the booking form.
Narrow streets and steep roads
Parts of Kaş’s old town are pedestrian or too narrow for a van, and many villas are reached by steep private roads. In the booking notes, please give:
- the exact name of your hotel, pension or villa,
- a contact phone number of the owner or manager,
- any access instructions – the best drop-off point, a gate code.
Ask your host in advance whether someone can help with luggage from the drop-off point if the car cannot reach the door.
The journey
Your driver meets you in arrivals, loads your luggage and drives the three hours from Antalya along the coast. A short break on the way is normal. At your accommodation, the bags are unloaded.
Arriving after dark
Many flights to Antalya land in the evening, which means arriving in Kaş late at night. Pensions and small hotels in Kaş often do not have a 24-hour reception, so tell your host your expected arrival time – roughly three hours after your landing time – and make sure the driver has the host’s number.
Long stays
Kaş attracts long-stay visitors, divers and people who return year after year. If you travel with more than the usual luggage – diving gear, for example – tell us. The Vito takes 6 large items; more may need a second vehicle.
For onward travel, see long-distance transfers from Kaş.
Planning your arrival and departure
Kaş rewards the journey. The drive from the airport is long, but it follows one of the most beautiful coastlines in the Mediterranean. A bit of planning makes sure the transfers at both ends of your holiday are easy.
Choose your airport
Antalya Airport (AYT) has the most flights and is about 200 km from Kaş – around three hours. Dalaman Airport (DLM) is about 149 km – around two hours twenty – with fewer flights. We drive from both.
Before you travel
- Book once your flights are fixed.
- Book both ways together. Choose “Return” on the search form; you pay once and the return leg is discounted.
- Add your flight number so we can follow your arrival.
- Tell your hotel your arrival time – about three hours after landing at Antalya.
Arrival
Your driver waits in arrivals with your name; the first 60 minutes after landing are free. From Antalya, the fare to Kaş is €120 per vehicle for up to 6 passengers and 6 large suitcases. Agree a short break with the driver at the start.
Days out from Kaş
- Kalkan and Kaputaş beach – west of Kaş
- Demre (Myra) – about 45 km, 45 minutes
- Olympos – about 92 km, 1 hour 35 minutes
- Fethiye – about 105 km, 1 hour 40 minutes
- Kemer – about 143 km, 2 hours 20 minutes
Boat trips to Kekova and ferries to Kastellorizo are also popular. See transfers from Kaş.
Kastellorizo day trip
The Greek island of Kastellorizo (Meis) lies just across the bay from Kaş, and day ferries cross in summer. Remember that this is an international border crossing: take your passport and check the visa rules that apply to you before booking.
Departure
Leave Kaş about five hours before an international flight from Antalya, or four hours before a flight from Dalaman. Your driver collects you from your accommodation.
Changes
Send changes at least 48 hours before the pickup. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the pickup; later cancellations are not refundable; see the cancellation policy.
All-inclusive resorts
Kaş has no big all-inclusive resort strip like Belek or Side. Its hotels are mostly small and boutique-style: on the hillside above the harbour, on the Çukurbağ peninsula, or on the coast road towards Kalkan. That shapes the transfer: smaller roads, later arrivals and a longer drive from the airport.
Where the hotels are
- Kaş town – hotels and pensions around the harbour and the old town.
- Çukurbağ peninsula – hotels and villas with swimming platforms, west of the town.
- Coast towards Kalkan – hotels with views over the sea and the Greek islands.
From Antalya Airport the fixed fare is €120 per vehicle for up to 6 passengers and 6 large suitcases. From Dalaman Airport, the price is calculated by distance.
Arrival times
Because of the distance, many guests reach Kaş late in the evening. Smaller hotels may close reception at night – tell your hotel your expected arrival time, about three hours after landing at Antalya.
At the hotel
Many Kaş hotels sit on steep streets. The driver stops as close to the entrance as possible and unloads your luggage; hotels on the peninsula often have their own access roads.
Departure
For an international flight from Antalya, leave Kaş about five hours before departure; from Dalaman, about four hours. If check-out is at midday and your flight is in the evening, ask about a late check-out or use the morning for a last swim.
Days out
From Kaş, Kalkan is about 27 km west, Demre about 45 km east and Fethiye about 105 km. Boat trips to Kekova and ferries to the Greek island of Kastellorizo leave from the area. See transfers from Kaş.
Airport taxi or pre-booked transfer?
A metered taxi to Kaş
Airport taxis charge by the meter, so a three-hour drive along the coast produces a large and unpredictable fare. The cars are typically saloons with limited luggage space, which is uncomfortable for three hours. Some taxi drivers prefer not to take such long fares at busy times.
Comparison
- Price: taxi – metered for 200 km; transfer – €120 per vehicle, known in advance.
- Comfort: taxi – a saloon for three hours; transfer – individual seats in a Vito.
- Breaks: agree a stop with your transfer driver at the start.
- Group of six: two taxis versus one Vito.
- Children: free child seats with a transfer.
What about the bus?
Intercity buses connect Antalya’s bus station with Kaş, but you first need to get from the airport to the bus station, and the journey takes considerably longer than by car. With luggage and after a flight, most travellers prefer a direct transfer.
Taxis in Kaş
In Kaş itself, taxis are useful for short trips – to the Çukurbağ peninsula, to beaches along the coast or to Kaputaş beach between Kaş and Kalkan. For the airport and for longer outings, a pre-booked car is the calmer option.
Hotel transfers in Kaş
Compared with the alternatives
- Bus: airport to bus station, then a long coach journey to Kaş.
- Rental car: three hours of winding coast road after a flight, then parking in Kaş.
- Private transfer: direct, flight-tracked, 60 minutes free waiting and a planned break.
Timing with your hotel
Hotels usually give rooms from early afternoon. If you arrive late in the evening, check that reception will be open. On departure day, check-out is usually around midday; for an evening flight from Antalya, you will need to leave Kaş in the early afternoon anyway.
At the hotel
Many Kaş hotels are on steep, narrow streets. The driver stops as close to the door as possible and unloads your bags. Ask your hotel whether someone can help carry luggage if the entrance is up steps.
Late check-in
With a three-hour drive from Antalya, an evening flight means a late arrival in Kaş. Tell your hotel your expected time – about three hours after landing – and ask whether the night porter or the owner will let you in. Give us a contact number for the hotel so the driver can call ahead.
Hotel to hotel
Combining Kaş with another destination? Kalkan is about 27 km away, Fethiye about 105 km and Kemer about 143 km. Enter both hotels on the booking form for a fixed price.
Groups, weddings and events
Start with the arrivals list
Send names, arrival airport, flight number, landing time, passengers per flight and accommodation. We plan vehicles per flight:
- up to 6 passengers from Antalya Airport: one Mercedes Vito, €120 to Kaş;
- 7–12 passengers: two Vitos (€240) or a minibus;
- larger groups: minibuses, quoted individually;
- arrivals at Dalaman: priced by distance.
Two airports, one plan
Antalya is about three hours from Kaş, Dalaman about two hours twenty. If guests arrive at both, we plan separate vehicles from each airport and time them so that everyone reaches Kaş at a reasonable hour.
Several addresses
Retreats and weddings in Kaş often use a main venue plus nearby pensions and villas, some on the Çukurbağ peninsula. Tell us who stays where; drivers know which addresses a van can reach and where luggage needs to be carried the last stretch.
Signs and meeting point
Drivers wait in arrivals with the group, retreat or guest name on the sign. Each flight is tracked, with 60 minutes of free waiting after landing.
Late arrivals at small venues
Retreat centres and pensions in Kaş often have small teams and no night reception. If guests arrive after an evening flight to Antalya, they will reach Kaş around midnight or later. Agree a key handover with each venue, and give us a contact number we can share with the drivers.
During the stay
Group programmes often include a boat day to Kekova, a visit to Kalkan or Patara beach, or a trailhead drop-off for walkers. These can be included in the same quote.
