Heathrow to Maidstone Taxi and Private Transfer: Fares, Journey Time and Pickup
This guide covers everything you need for a private transfer from Heathrow to Maidstone: how far it is, how long it takes, what each vehicle costs and what happens on the day.
The journey
The distance is about 63 miles (102 km). In normal traffic the drive takes about 1 hour 15 minutes; allow longer at rush hour, on Friday afternoons and on bank holiday weekends. The M20 to the M25, then around the south of London to Heathrow.
About Maidstone
Maidstone is the county town of Kent, east of London. We drop off in the town centre, at Maidstone East and West stations, in Bearsted, Aylesford, Allington and Barming, and at Kings Hill and West Malling. Heathrow is on the opposite side of London, so the route goes round the M25 and joins the M26 or M20 into Kent.
Car or train?
There is no direct rail link from Heathrow to Maidstone: by train you cross central London and change at least once, usually ending with a Southeastern train from London. With luggage, after a long flight, a car from the terminal to your door avoids the changes. If your trip is only to Kent, compare flights into Gatwick, which is closer.
Fares by vehicle
- Economy Sedan (up to 4 passengers, 3 suitcases): from about £146
- First Class Sedan (4 passengers, 3 suitcases): about £205

- First Class Van (6 passengers, 5 suitcases): about £398

Prices are per vehicle, not per person. The exact fixed price for your date and address is shown on the booking form before you pay, and does not change with traffic.
Meeting your driver
Heathrow has four passenger terminals – 2, 3, 4 and 5. We read your terminal from the flight number, and the driver waits in the arrivals hall of that terminal with a sign showing your name. We track your flight, so the pickup moves with any delay, and the first 60 minutes after landing are free. Meet and greet in the terminal and airport parking are included in the price. Child seats are free on request.
Going the other way
For the journey from Maidstone back to Heathrow, the driver collects you from your door at the time you choose. Choosing “Return” on the booking form books both journeys in one payment, with a discount on the return leg.
