Sabiha Gökçen Airport Transfers: Private Cars to Kadıköy, Taksim and Sultanahmet
Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) is Istanbul’s second airport, on the Asian side of the city. Many low-cost and regional flights use it. It is a long way from the historic centre, so a private transfer is the easiest way to reach your hotel – especially with luggage or late at night.
Fixed fares from SAW
- Kadıköy: €45 per vehicle.
- Taksim: €50.
- Sultanahmet: €50.
- Beşiktaş: €55.
Other addresses are priced by distance and shown on the booking form before you pay. The vehicle is a Mercedes Vito for up to 6 passengers and 6 large suitcases.
Crossing the Bosphorus
Taksim, Sultanahmet and Beşiktaş are on the European side, so the journey crosses one of the Bosphorus bridges or the Eurasia Tunnel. Journey times vary greatly with Istanbul’s traffic; allow about an hour to the European side, longer at rush hour.
Meeting your driver
We track your flight. After passport control and baggage reclaim, your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name. The first 60 minutes after landing are free.
Going back to SAW
For an international flight, leave the European side at least three and a half hours before departure; traffic can be unpredictable. Choosing “Return” when you book adds the trip back with a discount on the return leg.
SAW or IST?
If you are staying on the Asian side, Sabiha Gökçen is usually closer. For the European side, Istanbul Airport is often more convenient – see Istanbul Airport transfers and IST chauffeur services.
Families and groups
Child seats are free on request. For more than 6 passengers, book two vehicles or ask for a minibus quote.
Late arrivals
Many flights land at Sabiha Gökçen late in the evening or overnight. Public transport and taxis are limited at those hours, and the drive to the European side is long. A pre-booked driver is waiting whatever time you land, at the same fixed fare, with no night supplement.
Paying
You pay online by card when you book; the confirmation email is your receipt. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the pickup; later cancellations are not refundable.
