Antalya Airport Taxi vs Private Chauffeur: The Key Differences
When you land at Antalya, you can take a taxi from the rank or be met by a private chauffeur you booked in advance. Both are door-to-door; the differences are in pricing, space, waiting and peace of mind.
1. How the price is set
Taxis charge by the meter, so the fare depends on route, traffic and time of day and is known only at the end. A pre-booked chauffeur has a fixed price per vehicle, paid in advance: €35 to the city and Lara, €45 to Belek, €50 to Kemer, €65 to Side, €75 to Alanya.
2. The vehicle
Airport taxis are mostly saloon cars for up to four passengers. Our chauffeur-driven transfers in the Antalya region use a Mercedes Vito with six individual seats and room for 6 large suitcases.
3. Where you meet
With a taxi, you queue outside the terminal. With a chauffeur, the driver waits inside the arrivals hall with your name on a sign.
4. Delays
A taxi is irrelevant until you arrive; a chauffeur is booked for your flight. We track the flight and the first 60 minutes after landing are free, so a delay does not cost you anything.
5. Children
Taxis rarely carry child seats. Our transfers provide them free on request.
6. Payment
Taxis are paid in the car. Our transfers are paid online by card when you book, so you do not need cash on arrival.

For one or two travellers with little luggage going a short distance – to Lara or the city centre – a taxi from the rank is perfectly sensible and may cost about the same.
