Phaselis Near Kemer: Visiting the Ancient City with Three Harbours
Phaselis combines ancient ruins with swimming: the city’s three natural harbours are now small beaches inside a pine forest. It lies near Tekirova, south of Kemer, about 62 km from Antalya’s old town – an easy half day from Kemer and a pleasant full day from Antalya.

What to see
A paved street runs between the harbours, past the agora, baths and a small theatre. The remains of an aqueduct stand among the pines near the main harbour. Bring swimwear: the bays are calm and clear.
Planning the day
Allow two to three hours, including a swim. The site is inside a national park and gets busy around midday when boat trips arrive; early morning and late afternoon are quieter. Take water, shade and food – facilities are limited.

Wear sandals you can swim in, take cash for the café, and keep valuables in the car rather than on the beach. In high summer, the car park fills up by late morning; arriving with a driver means you are dropped at the entrance and collected at a time you choose, without circling for a space.
Getting there without a car
Coastal minibuses between Kemer and Kumluca stop on the main road, but the walk from the road to the harbours is long and unshaded. Many boat trips from Kemer also stop at Phaselis, though only for a short swim.
